At HomeStead Care Providers, we know that choosing someone to look after your elderly loved one’s health and happiness is a serious decision. To help you get all the facts, we’ve posted some of our most frequently asked questions below. Please don’t hesitate to call or email us if you have additional questions or would like a free in-home consultation.

Will I get the same care provider all the time?

Yes. We will assign a primary care giver to you and a regular substitute should they be unavailable.

Can you provide a caregiver to my relative in the hospital, nursing home or retirement home?

Yes. Our caregivers are available wherever you need them, for as long as you want us to stay.

How do you hire your staff?

They are either personal support workers or people with the equivalent skill set. We hire staff who truly enjoy working with the elderly, who are responsible and committed to our clients, with a warm positive personality.

Is your staff insured?

Yes, our staff is bonded and insured for liability. All staff members are employees of HomeStead Care Providers.

Will you help to handle insurance claims?

We will bill your insurance company directly (if approved) or help you to submit your claim. (Veteran’s Affairs, Extended Health Benefits, and WSIB claims accepted.)

How can I keep on top of costs?

Your care plan is continually evaluated to ensure an appropriate level of service as well as cost-effectiveness.

My relative needs a specialized service that’s not on your list. Can you help?

If we do not currently provide the service you need, we will either create it for you or assist you in locating it in the community.
